How Virtual Cooking Classes Work

The classes are suitable for kids and teens ranging from 8-16 years old. If registering younger kids, parents must be prepared to supervise as we will be utilizing cooktops, ovens, and knives to prepare the recipes.

Our Philosophy

 

The Cooking Lab’s two founders - Michelle and Mat - each has three kids and knows from experience that kids can be fickle with their tastes.  We also know that kids are more willing to try new foods when they’ve had a hand in preparing them. With that in mind, our kids’ classes are designed to foster creativity, encourage experimentation and build confidence and independence in the kitchen.  We teach kids age-appropriate cooking skills and expose them to a wide array of ingredients and flavors with the goal of developing healthy eating habits and a willingness to try new foods.

DECEMBER

Three-Week Cooking Series

WEDNESDAYS at 4:30-6:00 pm (three (3) consecutive Wednesdays: 12/2, 12/9, 12/16)

  

**NEW** THREE WEEK MENU:

 

  • Fajitas with Pico de Gallo & Guacamole

  • Cheese Souffle with Salad and Dijon Vinaigrette

  • Chicken Parm Lasagna Roll-ups

 

HOW THESE VIRTUAL CLASSES WORK:

  • The class registration fee is per household/screen (siblings are welcome to cook together). 

  • After registering, you will be sent a registration confirmation via email - PLEASE save our email address - info@thecookinglabpw.com - to your contacts so that you do not miss any communications related to your classes

  • At least 5 days prior to each class, we will send you a shopping list and the recipes so you can print out and follow along during class.

  • The day before class, we'll send you the Zoom link you'll need to sign on to the class.

  • Classes are 75-90 minutes. 

  • The classes are suitable for kids and teens ranging from 8-16 years old. If registering younger kids, parents should be prepared to supervise/assist as we will be utilizing cooktops, ovens, and knives to prepare the recipes.

  • For once, we can teach literally anyone in the world (not just locals!), so please feel free to pass along the class registration info to any friends you'd like to cook with!

  • We are committed to keeping our virtual classes accessibly priced during these uncertain economic times. As such, there are NO REFUNDS after registration and NO MAKE-UPS for missed classes.

  • A minimum of 4 students is needed for the class to run

WEDNESDAY 4:30 - 6 PM ~ Join us for a 3-week VIRTUAL Cooking Class Series - NEW MENU EVERY SESSION! Class meets once a week on the same day and time for three (3) consecutive weeks and will be conducted online via Zoom.
